Learn the exceptional art of reborning as professional reborn artist Debbie Henshaw holds nothing back while she walks you through the entire reborn process using her Master Artist techniques. Debbie teaches in a style that is appropriate for beginning, intermediate and advanced artists.
Debbie has taught live multidimensional painting classes to groups around the US and One-on-One full reborn courses in her home nursery/studio since 2007 and has long dreamed of producing a full reborning course on DVD. Her dream, paired with the dream of professional doll artist, Dianna Effner to learn the art of the reborn, came true in the production of this instructional course as Debbie visited Dianna's studio, taught her and filmed the entire process.
This is a cost effective way to sit side-by-side Debbie to learn her master artist techniques to create incredible life-like dolls.
In this 2 DVD set that runs 5 hours, you will be taught how to prepare your vinyl by opening nostrils and eye sockets, bathing the kit and coating it with Genesis Matte Varnish to prevent all shine as well as teaching the techniques that add textured details such as raised and textured brows and nail beds.
Working with LDC air dry paints (or your paints of choice as the techniques can be applied to the use of other paints) she will show you how to mix the colors (color guide booklet included) and apply them in her own unique way for a multidimensional skin tone.
You will learn special techniques to create tone and depth as well as intricate nail, lip and brow detail.
Debbie will teach you her favorite way (from the cut end) to micro root fine kid hair in a directional pattern to create a life-like head of soft baby hair.
You will learn how to seal the hair, back the nose with felt, insert magnets for pacifiers, insert eyes, apply eye lashes and gloss all of the important areas of a reborn dolls.
Debbie is well known for the skill she posses in weighting reborn dolls. She will show you, step by step how to correctly weight your reborn for incredible life-like feel and movement.
Special Note:
In order to keep this DVD set short enough for production and cost effectiveness, you will be instructed the painting techniques on the head and one limb, pausing the DVD while you complete each technique and layer on the additional limbs. You will also pause the DVD during the many hours it takes to root a head.
It is advisable to view the entire DVD set before you begin your work, but especially the rooting section.
Included in the 2 disc set is a booklet insert containing the same color guide that was used as I taught Dianna, a full list of reborn supplies; everything you would ever need to reborn dolls on a regular basis, helpful tips and my contact information.
